The SR bass shape is Ibanez's most popular by quite a margin and you can find it on all ranges from entry level Gio Series to the Premium range and beyond. It's a well balanced and comfortable shape that doesn't really belong to any particular genre so you can use an SR for everything! It started as a valid alternative to the classic bass shapes but has become something of a classic itself.
With it's extensive custom circuitry and versatile switching options, the SR300E can cover a multitude of bases. At the flick of a switch you can enjoy features like series/parallel signal paths, coil tapping (with the Power Tap feature), active EQ boost and cut for Treble, Mid and Bass frequencies and a knob for balancing out the pickups' output. That's a lot of power for the player right at the fingertips!
The Iron Pewter finish is dark and moody with a hint of metallic sparkle in there in a small way. It's a subtle looking bass and should fit in well on any stage.
